DannyBella’s City Hall wedding is one very close to our hearts. Small and intimate- it was a vibrant and ecstatic celebration of the union of this amazing couple. Their family flew in from all over the US and from as far as Canada. Bella was thrilled about this intimate wedding (to be followed by a larger wedding next year), and her excitement about having us document the special day with her family aways seeped through her emails! So, Nuva and I were waiting eagerly for this wedding, in fact, we got our 45mm TS-E right before this wedding (a lens we wanted to add to our arsenal for a while). Oh boy, was it a fulfilling experience! We met DannyBella and co. at City Hall Clerk’s office at around 1:30PM.
It was our first assignment at the City Hall, and one of the challenges was the sheer number of people in there! Problem solving, though, is at the core of wedding photography, so it was just another equation to solve, which we did in this case with judicious use of perspectives and composition. This group was a fun bunch and, we had a great time photographing them. After the wedding ceremony at the Clark’s Office, we went to the Public Library and then to Grand Central. Grand Central, with its intriguing architecture, has always been one of my favorite places to shoot in the City. Nuva and I tried some “grand” compositional shots and tried to incorporate the sense of motion and energy in the pictures. So, here it is – some of the glimpses from a fun-filled day. Enjoy!

Weddings are about timeless love, hysterical laughter, radiant smiles, deafening chaos, stifling stress. Most importantly though, a wedding is about the unfolding of a very special story; YOUR story! We strive to document the essence of that story with the unique flavors and subtle nuances that make it truly yours. Our goal is simple yet bold. We want to capture images that will take you back to the special day, helping you re-live the beautiful memories that is wedding =)
