Melinda and Ted are amazing – fun loving, sporty and committed to the betterment of society! So naturally, it was a blast doing the engagement photo-shoot for this dynamic couple. They are both into sports, in fact, both of their professions are in sports. Ted runs a youth educational non-profit centered around basketball and used to play professionally. Melinda on the other hand works in the sports industry. So naturally we wanted to theme this engagement session around sports, focusing on their passion and love for sports. Ted and Melinda are also a very sweet-romantic couple! So we also wanted to add a more intimate and passionate looking shoot for the evening. All of this in a couple of hours! Yes, much can be achieved with proper planning.

We started the session at the Graffiti Hall of Fame per Melinda’s suggestion. The Harlem graffiti wall evokes the courts and Ted’s non-profit center which is also located in Harlem. After some fun shots there, we moved on to Central Park; after all you can never ignore the Park when it’s so nearby. After a quick change of clothes Melinda and Ted met us at the Riverside Park as the skyline by Hudson just started to light up with city lights. Night photography has always been a passion of ours, so we just has to do a couple of long exposure composites! So here it is a day of fun with an amazing couple.
